Go Commando! ...Or Don't.

Alright ladies, let's talk undies. Nothin' worse than VPL (visible panty line, for those of you not familiar) in your new favorite dress. That's where Commando steps in. These babies are not only super comfy and cute, they will keep any lines under your dress or jeans to a bare minimum. Who knew seamless could be so chic! They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes including a tulip thong, a low rise long, boy short and high-rise brief. If you're looking for slips, we've got those too! They range from $22-$48 (for the shelf bras), and are an under garment must-have.

Americana: Eva Franco Style.

Alright lovely ladies, it's time to get patriotic. Grab your sparklers and get ready for fireworks. With 4th of July right around the corner you'll need to be ready with a little red, white & blue. Eva Franco has created the perfect dresses for the occasion, using vintage inspired silhouettes with a modern twist (read: plunging necklines). Pair your new frock with comfortable footwear from Kork Ease or Chie Mihara, or even pull the entire look together with vintage cowboy boots. America's birthday is a perfect excuse to get a little dressy, so fire up the grill and celebrate!

To The Max.

Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be at least 5'9 to wear a maxi. While there's many different styles and cuts, you absolutely can find something to fit your body type. These puppies are the best things to wear in the summer time, especially in Seattle, where it doesn't get TOO warm. An a-line skirt with an empire waist, or even a wrap silhouette are popular for this season. We just got some serious maxi goodies from Tart, Fluxus, Lilla P, Butter by Nadia and Rory Beca. Make sure to stop into Horseshoe to get yourself geared up for the sunshine!

Toms! Toms! Toms!

The little Horseshoe window has been taken over! ..By TOMS that is. The wait is over, ladies, they're here! We are so proud to represent this incredible company, and even more proud to wear them on our feet!

From the TOMS website:

"In 2006, American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by TOMS customers."

Come and get yourself a pair of stylin' new kicks to start off your Summer right.
Don't forget to mark your Calendar for June 15th, come on down to Horseshoe for the Style Your Sole event from 5-9. You'll even get to take 20% off your purchase of  TOMS in natural or white to paint and decorate.

What To Wear: WARM WEATHER (!!!)

As we're here staring at the rain wondering when summer's gonna show up, we decided to take a look at the weather forecast for the weekend. GUESS WHAT! 78 degrees AND sunny on Saturday? Oh my goodness, this calls for a celebration. A BBQ perhaps? A trip over to Golden Gardens? An evening stroll down Ballard Ave with your honey? Sign us up for all 3. We had a feeling the sun would be joining Seattle sooner or later so Horseshoe managed to get a bit stocked up on shorts, summer dresses and blouses. Of course, be sure to layer for when the sun goes down, but at this point, we'll take any sort of sun we can get.
