How to Style your Bump with 3 Key Pieces

Pregnancy, especially your first, comes with a steep learning curve and lots of changes. With all the changes happening even the simple tasks like tying your shoes or getting dressed in the morning can be a real pain in the rump! We feel your pain, so to help out we chose a few, non maternity, items that will transition while your tummy gets bigger (finally shrinks again) and when the season's change.

See how we've styled them for now, while the weather is still warm and for later when Fall rolls in....

1. Long Chambray Shirt
The ever-so versatile chambray shirt provides great coverage and when worn open allows you to show off your ultra-feminine bump.

Layer over leggings and a long black tank and it'll get you through happy hour with your friends or a stroll through the Sunday Market.
Rails Kylie Denim Tunic $138
LA Made Double U Tank $22
Bobi Leggings $28
TOMS Wedge Sandals $69

As the weather gets cooler, stick a long sleeved layering tee on underneath. Choose a shirt that's extra long and stretchy so it provides good belly coverage.
Rails Kylie Tunic $138
Lilla P Back Seam Leggings $88

2. Maxi Skirt
The striped maxi skirt has the benefits of leggings but gives your outfit a little more interest. Also, if you're self-conscious about any weight that's been added to your thighs, it's an awesome camouflaging alternative.

We paired the maxi skirt with a bright colored tee. It enhances that natural glow you've developed and will be easy to wear again once your babe makes his/her debut.
GGO Shakti Maxi Skirt $88
Leilani Jensen Britta Necklace in Lagoon $188
Elizabeth & James Zelza Sunglasses $185
TOMS Wedge Sandals $69

Once the Fall weather hits, wear the striped maxi skirt with a chunky heathered sweater for warmth and texture. The black and white palette of these two pieces gives the brightly colored long sleeved tee a neutral background that highlights the beautiful shape you're developing.
GGO Shakti Maxi Skirt $88

3. Drop Waist Dress
A drop waist dress let's you show off the lovely curve of your belly, but still leaves you some room to grow. The ruching along the sides of this dress is very flattering if pregnancy added a few inches to your hips.

Throw on this easy-to-wear dress with a pair of comfy polka-dot TOMS and you're ready to shop for your babe's nursery set.
Bobi Lovin' Life Dress $58
TOMS Polka-dot Classics $54

Adding black leggings and some oh-so-sexy boots creates an outfit that's ready to handle the rain. An infinity scarf is a great way to easily add some pizazz to an outfit (it doesn't matter what size you are because it'll always fit!) and also helps stay cozy on those brisk Fall days.
Bobi Lovin' Life Dress $58
Bobi Leggings $28
Subtle Luxury Wrap Vest Scarf $98

Leggings
Your hidden weapon for pregnancy style. You can't have enough of these in your closet during the next 9+ months. Cropped, Long, Heavy knit, or wispy thin, these guys will get you through everything.
